Tuesday Forum

Tuesday Forum Returns with Catskill Forest Association, September 5, 2023

Coming up, Tuesday, September 5!
We’re back with the Tuesday Forum after taking the summer off. Join us on Tuesday, September 5 at 10am for a presentation by Zahra Bellucci of Catskill Forest Association.  Presentation will begin at 10:00 am and end by noon.  ALL are welcome!

Zahra provides consultations to landowners, assists in the implementation of CFA programs, and works to administer and develop the forestry education services offered by CFA to members and the local community.

Forest farming is an agroforestry practice that can provide landowners with options where traditional forestry practices like timber harvesting are not feasible.

Come learn about the ways you can use forest farming to connect to your land in a meaningful way, reap ecologically sustainable benefits from your forest, and actively manage your land with non-timber forest products.

Please call 607-326-7901 for more information about this presentation that is open to ALL including non-Roxbury residents. We hope to see you there!

Thank you to these RCS Juniors!

Tuesday Forum Presentations to Return to Roxbury Library

We are happy to announce the return of the Tuesday Forum - a series of instructional, inspirational, and fun presentations by local residents and organizations.  We have programs planned for the following upcoming Tuesdays:  March 7 will feature Kellie Sullivan, owner of Kaatskill Eldercare, and Dawn Shultis, manager of Dan’s Food Pantry:  both are Roxbury organizations that offer helping hands to our residents.  For the Tuesday, April 4 program, we’ll have the expertise of several Roxbury Central School senior students to give advice and guidance on navigating smart phones and social media.  And Tuesday, May 2 will bring a presentation by Medicare with Robin.  Robin Williams will bring her knowledge of Medicare programs to answer all of your questions.

The Forums will begin at 10:00am and will end by noon.  There will be tea, coffee and a light refreshment.  Reservations are not required but would be sincerely appreciated!  Call 607-326-7901 or email ro.mary@4cls.org for more information.  We hope to see you there!
